Menelaine Valencia

Hi! My name is Menelaine Valencia and I am so excited to be in the Street Kings family! I teach Locking technique and freestyle,  so if you want to get funky, have fun, and explore your own expressive movement – come dance with me!

My inspiration: My biggest locking inspirations are Tiffany Bong, Kim Sato, Lady C and Natasha Jean Bart – these ladies are the funkiest female lockers I know!

Specialty: I specialize in hip-hop but have also trained extensively in a variety of funk styles such as Locking, House, Waacking and Popping.

Accomplishments: Over the years, I have had the opportunity to train and perform with several professional companies such as SOULdiers Hip-Hop Dance Company, TwoFourSeven Company, the SFU Contemporary Dance Program and Praise Theatre Ensemble and Arts Ministry Showcase.
