Hip Hop

Brief History:

Hip-hop dance refers to street styles primarily performed to hip hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture. Like hip-hop music, hip-hop social dancing continues to change as new songs are released and new dances are created to accompany them. The style was originally known as Breakdance, and has evolved to many forms such as New School, Old School, and more.

Old School vs. New School Hip Hop:

Old School forms are often seen in ciphers and battles, whereas New School is usually represented in choreography competitions.
